Lenka Petrakova

Lead Architect, Zaha Hadid Architects

Before joining Zaha Hadid Architects in 2017, Lenka gained international experience working in New York, Vienna, and Bratislava. She possesses versatile expertise in design development and technical coordination across residential, hospitality, and office building projects. Currently, Lenka serves as the Lead Architect for the Le Schuylkill refurbishment and extension project in Monaco, where she is responsible for overseeing design development, planning, technical coordination and internal and external team management. Her expertise in hospitality and residential projects, spans across Europe, America, Asia and Middle East. Lenka has significantly contributed to several office building projects in China, including the OPPO Headquarters in Shenzhen, CECEP in Shanghai, and Taikang Headquarters in Wuhan, where she played a crucial role in planning, technical coordination, and interior design. Lenka completed her PhD in 2024, specializing in "Design Inspired by Nature." Her passion for sustainable design, particularly through her project The 8th Continent®, has garnered numerous accolades, including the 2020 GRAND PRIX AWARD for Architecture and Innovation of the Sea from the Jacques Rougerie Foundation - Institut de France, and the 2022 Peace Prize from The Association Informal Economic Forum and The International Peace Committee. Her work has been exhibited internationally, with notable appearances at the 2016 Venice Biennale of Architecture, the 2022 UN Ocean Conference in Lisbon, and 2020 Dubai Expo.
